Fantasia is nestled in the pretty white village of Galera, Andalucía, Spain with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The cave has a huge lounge with a log burning fire, UK TV, a dining area with a large open plan well equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms one with an en-suite shower room, the third bedroom has two single beds. The main bathroom has a palatial sunken bath in Moroccan style. To the front of the cave there is a large patio area adequate for parking, playing and lounging, the track access to the cave is narrow, those with larger vehicles can park above the cave, there is a small set of steps from one of the two parking areas down to the cave.
Galera is a beautiful village which has archaeological digs dating back more than a million years. There is a public swimming pool next to the Galera Hotel, 7 bars; including a pizza restaurant, a Scottish bar and other Spanish cafe's which are all very welcoming, (internet is also available). The village boasts of 3 supermarkets that are well stocked and provide a few English supplies. Galera and nearby Orce both have a medical centre open from 10-12am Monday to Friday, Baza is the nearest main town with a hospital (32km/20miles away).
Climate: Winters can be very cold but sunny and summers are hot with temperatures that can reach 40 degrees or more. Air quality is clear with low humidity.
Around the area: There are many Sierras, natural parks, spas, springs and lakes. All the nearby towns and villages have local markets, sightseeing and attractions. For the more adventurous there is horse riding, paragliding, cycling, canoeing and quad biking. All relevant information is held at Fantasia and details of anything you may require should be covered. Logs can be provided at €6.00 per night if required, (order in advance please). Towels and bedding are all included with spares available.
